15 Mar 2026 Annual General Meeting
The 2026 Annual General meeting was held in the Lone Pine Room on 12th March.
Over forty members attended and were joined by Bob Lunnon, President of RSL Northern Beaches District Council, Leeanne Broadhead, RSL NSW Volunteer Manager and also by Graeme Smith representing our Trustee, RSL Custodian Pty Ltd. Deb Carter, President of Pittwater sub-Branch also joined us a visitor to hear more about RSL Custodian’s involvement with sub-Branches
Following presentation of the required reports, Bob Lunnon addressed the meeting and spoke about his role and the role of Leeanne Broadhead and of the Dee Why Veterans Wellbeing Hub. He also stressed the importance of the welfare role in sub-Branches and encouraged more members to assume Committee positions.
Bob applauded our sub-Branch’s involvement in commemoration, camaraderie and welfare in the village.
Leigh Haines then conducted the election of committee and executive positions with terms concluding in March 2029. It was pleasing to see a number of members volunteering for Committee involvement.
Bob Lunnon then presented Lindsay Morris, transferring his membership from Forestville, with his new membership card.
Graeme Smith spoke briefly on the role of RSL Custodian Pty Ltd. It is more closely involved with sub-Branches that have extensive assets such as real estate and investments than ones of our size that have modest assets. We have minimal interaction with RSL Custodian Pty Ltd although it continues as our sole Trustee.
The next AGM will be on 11th March 2027.
